This blog was started during a period of illness when - for a little while - planning, or even thinking about, the next journey seemed a bad idea. Instead, I spent a great deal of time thinking about those that I had already made. That is what these posts are about.
The period of illness passed, unpleasantly, but quickly enough, and it already seems rather inconsequential - for the moment... Another journey has already been made, and an infintiy of others is already planned. There are more of these recollections and sketches, many of them already shaped and formed in my head, and I may, from time to time, put another one on here. But I feel somewhat reluctant to use them up at the moment (they are finite, after all), for though I desperately hope not, I may have more need of them in the future...
